Chelsea Handler Throws Buddy Jennifer Aniston Under the Social Bus

Jennifer Aniston has always been one to keep her private life under wraps, so when new friend Chelsea Handler reportedly blasted Angelina Jolie as a “homewrecker” it put the writing on the wall for their friendship. As quickly as the two struck up a friendship, it appears that the friendship is over.
It is kind of hard to tell if the act of loyalty from Chelsea was well-intentioned or not, but it certainly set off fireworks with Jen. Jennifer Aniston is not one to put her life out there like that, and she apparently expects her friends to do the same when it comes to her personal business. One has to question whether Chelsea knew that or not. Given that most of the civilized world knows it, it seems a safe assumption that she knew it was a no-no with her friend.
Why Handler would publicly call out Jolie after spending Thanksgiving with Aniston is a mystery. Aniston is notoriously careful about anything relating to her former relationship with Pitt. Whether that is because she still loves him, or simply because she has reached a mutually respectful place with him is unknown. Regardless, it seemed ill suited for Handler to spout off like that when she had nothing to do with it. Even if her intentions were protective in nature, it was still rather silly. The Pitt/Jolie/Aniston is largely a thing of the past, and the last thing Aniston wants is to drag it all up again.
Yet, Handler did it anyway. That is really the story of Chelsea Handler anyways. She always goes where she is not expected to go, and she always says what you do not expect her to say. That has been her appeal among her fans. That is one reason the friendship between her and Jennifer Aniston seemed so weird in the first place.
Now that Aniston and Handler appear to be on the outs as friends, one can only expect that Aniston will become a target at some point. Jennifer has not publicly addressed the issue, and she likely will not ever do so. Handler likely will, simply because she is known for being extremely outspoken. She has been known to shock the world on more than one occasion and this situation begs for one of her tirades.
Both actresses have been busy with work as well. Aniston has been busy filming several films, while Handler is a regular on the comedy circuit. The odd couple will be spending plenty of time on their individual projects in the coming weeks so maybe this will blow over and they can make up. We will have to wait and see.
