I just saw a television news report about another candy recall. This stuff has got to stop! How many times are we going to import food (for our pets OR our children!) contaminated with melamine from China? How much longer are we going to allow US companies to import lead-tainted toys from China? How much longer are we going to have a government that preaches “National security” and yet fails to inspect the many thousands of shipping containers arriving in our ports every single day?
Maybe I should just quit my job, move off the grid, homeschool my children, make all my own food and start my own little country in the middle of the woods somewhere.
…or maybe I’ll just stay right here and continue to bitch about it all.
